It is difficult to imagine a dish more representative of true rural tradition. Is a really poor dish made of just a few ingredients and simplicity itself.
Ingredients
500g stale bread
60g raisins
extra-virgin olive oil
salt
Preparation method
After have chopped into pieces the stale bread, put it in a saucepan filling with a trickle of water.
Add salt as you please and leave to cook for 30/45 minutes.
In half cooking add raisins.
When the cooking is finished, leave it to stand for some minutes, serve it with a lot of oil.
Note –
During the cooking, avoid to mix the bread together. If it is necessary shake gently the saucepan holding the handles.
